This course is for people who would like to write professionally or just hone their skills in creative writing. It is suitable for new writers and for those with previous experience of writing. The aim will be to develop strengths and build on them as well as identifying weaknesses that can be worked on to foster improvement. The practice of creative writing can be used to enrich many areas of life overall. Every writer or would-be writer has to find their voice, a voice that is entirely their own and one that they can use to write in a style that belongs solely to them. One of the primary missions of the course is to help students identify their voice and nurture it for use in their writing. During the course, you will learn strategies that can be utilised along with assignments and exercises, to help inspire creativity by firing the imagination, while learning the more practical aspects of writing for interest or to prepare for publication.

Tutoring is available in English at Higher and Advanced Higher level. I work with the students at home and online, finding their strengths and building on these
